On November 10, the opening ceremony of Georgian Corner took place at the National Library of St. Cyril and Methodius.
In the event Georgian books were presented together with the photos taken by the well-known Bulgarian photographers/journalists who were participating in the press tour in Georgia organized by the Embassy of Georgia and Georgian National Tourism Administration in June.
For the opening, special visit was paid by
the director of the Korneli Kekelidze National Center of Georgian Manuscripts Dr. Zaza Abashidze contributing new books and journals for the Georgian corner.
The ceremony was also attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, members of academic circles, journalists and Bulgarian politicians, who had the opportunity to taste Georgian wine.
With the opening remarks, Ambassador Tamara Liluashvili addressed the guests about the friendly relations and shared values between Georgia and Bulgaria, and thanked the director of National Library of St. Cyril and Methodius Docent Krasimira Aleksandrova for the support.
