Ambassador Otar Berdzenishvili held a courtesy meeting with the recently elected Mayor of Sofia City Vassil Terziev.

During the meeting, the existing cooperation between Georgian and Bulgarian municipalities was discussed, as well as the future plans and activities of the Embassy in the capital of Bulgaria. Both sides emphasized the role and importance of public diplomacy to further increase awareness about Georgia in Bulgaria.

Mayor congratulated Ambassador with the granting of EU candidate country status to Georgia.
