On September 16, 2026, Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Bulgaria Zurab Khamashuridze held a meeting at the National Assembly of Bulgaria with members of the Bulgaria-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group. The sides discussed topics related to bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as prospects for deepening inter-parliamentary relations and political dialogue.

The meeting focused on the development of cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, transport and digital connectivity, culture and tourism. The discussion also addressed the importance of security and stability in the Black Sea region and the strengthening of regional cooperation.

Members of the Bulgarian Parliamentary Friendship Group reaffirmed unwavering support towards Georgia’s territorial integrity, as well as for Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration. The Ambassador expressed gratitude for Bulgaria’s support.

The sides confirmed their readiness to further deepen the close, friendly, and partnership relations between Georgia and Bulgaria in the future.
